Uninsured and Underinsured Motorists

Insurance claims for uninsured or underinsured motorist benefits are some of the more common insurance disputes in Oregon. All Oregon automobile liability policies must provide both uninsured and underinsured motorist benefits. Un-insured motorist coverage applies when the other driver is at fault but has no auto insurance. Under-insured motorist coverage applies when the other driver is at fault but has less insurance coverage than the person they hurt.

If the injured person's insurance company fails to pay the insurance benefits that were paid for and promised in the policy, there may be a legal claim against the insurance company.
